Cienfuegos holidays hark back to the glamorous era of fanciful yacht clubs and ornate mansions that filled this once bourgeois retreat. Formerly a sugarcane port, it was more recently dubbed the ‘Pearl of the South,’ and you can see why with its wide, leafy avenues, picturesque plazas and lovely French-colonial architecture. From its palm studded bay to graceful Marti park, this coastal city makes quite the pretty picture.
