Your long weekend

Due to the ongoing situation we regret that we are currently not considering trips to Russia. We hope for a swift return to normality so that our trusted partners in Russia can once again help you discover the beautiful side to their destination.

Behind the impeccable contours of its palaces, St Petersburg is a young bustling city. Designed as a theatre of power, it is also home to intellectuals and the arts. It is best discovered by foot; walking through its many palaces, along the lattice of canals, sumptuous museums, peaceful parks and a thousand corners where the spirit of the Russian Enlightenment is still hidden.

Included in the itinerary

To make this getaway memorable, we have already punctuated the itinerary with highlights:
a welcome at the airport, a guided tour of Catherine's Palace in Pushkin , a magnificent imperial summer residence built by Peter the Great for his wife. Another guide will accompany you through the Hermitage Museum, one of the world's finest museums. The size of the art collections on display here is literally staggering. We've also organised an evening at the Mariinsky Theatre and our local Concierge is available to cater to your every whim, to make this stay even more special.

Your accommodation in the Astoria Hotel

The guiding principle of this journey: staying at a legendary hotel to experience the best of your destination. Next door to the Hermitage Museum, the Hotel Astoria is a Belle Epoque building emblematic of St Petersburg's rich past. The accommodation proudly claims to count royalty and celebrities among its past guests. Today it's also one of the places to be 'seen' in the city: at a caviar/vodka tasting at the Davidov restaurant, among the elegant woodwork carvings in the Kandinsky Bar or in the very relaxing spa. Luxury is also available in the beautiful rooms furnished with classic antiques and marble bathrooms.

The lounge takes you back in time; enjoy Russian or English afternoon tea with a good book and admire the views of St Isaac's Cathedral and the Hermitage.

A few indoor courtyards take you through a secret world, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, before reaching the roof of a modern building in the historic district for a 360-degree view of the city.

Optional -Approx. two hours
